Iran arrests military and intelligence officers after Ismail Haniyeh's death
Tehran: Iran has arrested several military and intelligence officers after the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Several Iranian intelligence and military officials have been detained in connection with the investigation into the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, the New York Times reported. Iranian military sources say that employees of the Iranian guest house where Ismail Haniyeh lived have also been arrested.

According to the American newspaper, the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is a big question mark for Iran's security and that is why the special intelligence team of Iran's Revolutionary Guards is investigating this matter. Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in Tehran on July 31 while he was in Tehran for the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Massoud Pazshikyan.
