Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh killed in Israeli attack in Iran
The head of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was in Iran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected president and was targeted when he returned to his hotel in Tehran from the ceremony.
According to international media, Iran's Revolutionary Guards and Hamas have blamed Israel for the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, but Israel has not yet denied or confirmed it.
Israel has repeatedly identified top leadership, including Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, in any region of the world.
However, Israeli media claimed that the missile was fired at 2 a.m. local time at the point in the heart of Tehran where Ismail Haniyeh was staying with his guard.
Hamas also confirmed his martyrdom on its social media account, he was targeted at his residence in Iran, his guard was also killed in the attack.
